Abstract:Huifeng Pumping Station is an important part of the Fudong flood control project in Jinxian County. It is subject to many restrictions such as site area,pipe network layout,and construction conditions. The area of the inlet water tank is insufficient,and it has the characteristics of large changes in water inlet level and a large number of units.The water inlet system of the pump room adopts an arc-shaped box culvert structure,which can easily lead to problems such as uneven flow distribution and biased flow,affecting the safe and efficient operation of the pump station.Therefore,water conservancy characteristics analysis and optimization are required. This study uses physical model testing combined with numerical simulation to study the hydraulic characteristics of the water inlet system of the pumping station under typical high water level operating conditions. The results show that the arc-shaped water inlet box culvert has the obvious problem of bias flow,whose flow distribution uniformity is 77.90%. The use of square columns for rectification can effectively improve the problem and enhance the symmetry of flow velocity distribution.The research results can provide reference for subsequent rectification projects.
