Shule River Basin is one of the main water supply areas of Hexi Corridor in China. It is crucial to understand it′s spatial and temporal characteristics for the management and development of reqional water resource. The Shule River Basin is a mountainous basin, and it is relatively difficult to obtain accurate precipitation data through traditional ground-based rainfall stations due to the complexity of its topography and the scarcity of ground observation stations.TRMM satellite precipitation data are widely used in basic hydrological research because of their wide coverage, high timeliness and high spatial resolution. In this paper,TRMM satellite precipitation data were used to analyze the spatial and temporal characteristics of precipitation changes in the Shule River Basin during 1998-2019,respectively,adaptive analysis, annual and seasonal spatial and temporal changes in the analysis and precipitation center migration analysis, and the results showed that the multi-year average precipitation in the basin varied in the range of 32 mm to 69 mm,and the precipitation was mainly concentrated in the southern mountain range area, and the center of gravity did not shift significantly during 1998-2019.The center of gravity of precipitation did not shift significantly;quarterly precipitation in the basin is highest in summer. This study provides a theoretical basis for water resources planning, ecological and environmental management, flood prevention and disaster mitigation in the Shule River Basin.
