Abstract:Jiapeng pumped storage Power Station is one of the recommended sites for new pumped storage power stations in Anhui province approved by the National Energy Administration, which can significantly improve the power supply quality of the Anhui Power Grid. The water resource demonstration of its water intake and use is necessary in the construction process. This paper demonstrates the rationality of water intake by analysing the influence of water intake on regional water resources, the river below the dam and other water users during the construction, storage and operation periods of the power station. By calculating the indicators of water intake per unit installed capacity and water replenishment rate, the rationality of water use is further analyzed by comparing the indexes of similar power stations.The results indicate that the influence of water intake on regional water resources can be effectively controlled after the implementation of necessary water resources protection and economic compensation, and its water use indexes are basically comparable with those of similar power stations. In conclusion, the water intake and use scheme of the power station is reasonable and feasible.
