As the main body of the flood control system of the project in Poyang lake area，levee plays a major role in protecting people's life and property，whose project files are very important during the construction.The second-phase flood control project in Poyang lake district has produced tens of thousands of volumes of project files during the 25 years of implementation of the fourth，the fifth and the sixth individual project.These project archives vividly record the effectiveness of the Poyang lake area management and truly reflect the development of the Jiangxi hydraulic engineering archives.This paper focuses on the development of the archives management of the second-stage flood control project in Poyang lake area.By analyzing the deficiencies of the current archives of dike projects，it puts forward targeted solutions to improve the level of file management at the grass-roots level and strengthen the construction of file informationization.Finally，it puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the development of hydraulic engineering archives in Jiangxi province.
