Abstract:The main flow type in Taihu lake is wind-induced flow.This paper uses mathematical models to simulate the hydrodynamic characteristics of Taihu lake's wind-induced flow under the influence of four steady wind fields, and summarizes the impact of wind direction on the distribution of wind-induced flow in Taihu lake.The results show that there are three large -scale circulations in the main lake area of Taihu lake under the influence of southeast and northwest winds: the western circulation, the central circulation and the northern circulation.Under the influence of north and south winds, there are only two large-scale circulations in the main lake area of Taihu lake: the western circulation and the central circulation.Under the influence of southeast and northwest winds, large-scale circulation exists in the northeast of Zhushan bay in northern Taihu lake, large -scale circulation exists in the southeast and northwest of Meiliang bay, and large-scale circulation exists in the northeast of Gonghu bay.Under the action of east and south winds, there are large-scale circulations in the western part of Zhushan bay, large-scale circulations in the southeast and central parts of Meiliang bay, and large-scale circulations in the eastern part of Gonghu bay.Under steady southeast wind filed, the surface flow direction of Taihu lake is the same as the wind direction, while the bottom flow direction is opposite to the wind direction.The turning point of the flow direction generally occurs at the relative water depth hc = 0.8.
