Based on the local practical experience,this article evaluates the pilot construction of sponge city in Pingxiang city from three aspects of total annual runoff control rate,runoff pollution reduction rate and water security.The results show that within the pilot construction area of 32.98 km2completed in Pingxiang city,its total annual runoff control rate reaches 76%,the runoff pollution reduction rate meets the requirements of sponge city construction,and 84 ponding points are basically eliminated.The pilot construction effect is remarkable.The relevant successful experience can provide reference for the current systematic promotion of the sponge city construction demonstration work in the whole area.
