Abstract:In order to improve the precision of drought prediction,this paper uses the EMD and SVM to forecast the drought situation of 51a(1968~2018)in Chaoyang area,making use of the unique advantages of different models,the forecast precision of drought disaster is improved and the disadvantage of single drought disaster forecast model is reduced.The results show that the application of SVM model based on EMD in the prediction of Chaoyang drought disaster has high precision with the mean square error(MSE)of 0.0005 and the decision coefficient(R2)of 0.992,which are better than those of SVM,and the model applied to drought prediction in Chaoyang area is feasible.
