Abstract:The Xiajiang hydro-junction project is the largest one of the hydro-junction projects in Jiangxi province so far.The sluice gate adopts the layout scheme of radial gate and hydraulic hoist.The orifice of sluice gate is large and the discharge condition of sluice gate is complex.This paper first analyzes the problems such as flow induced vibration and lateral buckling that may exist in the operation of radial gate,and the solutions are proposed from the design perspective.On this basis,the hydraulics model which simulates and analyzes the gate operation under different working conditions are established,which provides a theoretical basis for the safe operation of gate.The project has been in operation for 5 years since it was completed in 2016.The sluice gate has been opened many times for flood discharge without any danger.The research results of this paper can provide a reference for the design of large radial gate.
