The six steps method which summarized during the implementation process of Jiangxi hydraulic engineering standardized management is guidable and pertinent for standardized management.Taking Xingan reach of Gandong dyke as an object，from aspects of straightening out event，clarifying the criterion，standard procedure，deciding posts scientifically，establish mechanism and strict examination，this paper has summarized and discussed the concrete application of the six steps method in the practical process.It has good use for reference of all-round pursuance of hydraulic engineering standardized management in Jiangxi province．
