The review of reservoir flood control capacity is an important work in reservoir safety appraisal，the paper are summarized that the problems encountered and neglected in reservoir flood control review，discussed about of data collection and site survey，review of basic data，flood standard，design flood，flood routing and flood resistance capacity，the purpose is to provide reference for future flood control security review of reservoir dams.
