Based on the characteristics of dispersed discharge and significant fluctuations in water quality of rural domestic sewage in Jiangxi Province,this study employed the Constructed Rapid Infiltration(CRI)system for treatment.The purification efficiency of this system for rural domestic sewage was assessed through sampling and monitoring conducted in conjunction with rainfall conditions.Monitoring results indicated that the removal efficiency of the CRI system ranged from 35.7%to 72.2%for ammonia nitrogen(NH3-N),56.5%to 79.6%for total nitrogen(TN),84.1%to 93.5%for total phosphorus(TP),and 72.0%to 89.4%for suspended solids(SS).The effluent quality consistently met the stringent Grade A standards stipulated in China's Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant(GB 18918—2002).
